KC Mark certification clears FENIER cabinets for sale in South Korea under the Electrical Appliances and Household Goods Safety Control Act.
The KC Mark (Korea Certification) is required for household goods imported into South Korea. The certification covers product safety testing, electromagnetic compatibility where applicable, and factory inspection by a designated Korean testing body. FENIER cabinets destined for the Korean market carry KC documentation and labeling on the packaging per Korean customs requirements.
Korean importers typically source cabinetry through KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) introductions or through Daesung Industrial, Hanssem, or other major kitchen brands. KC Mark is a non-negotiable requirement for these channels — uncertified cabinets are stopped at Korean customs and cannot be re-exported under the same HS code.
For projects in the Korean hospitality sector (Lotte, Shilla, Hyundai Hotel Group), KC Mark is part of the standard procurement specification. The hotel chains also require additional documentation on VOC emissions and on child-safety compliance for any cabinet components installed in family rooms.
